Grade 6
In Grade 6 at Freeman-Kennedy, students develop the higher-level thinking, collaboration, and organizational skills needed for a successful transition to middle school. They read complex texts, craft well-supported arguments, and explore math concepts that require abstract reasoning. Inclusive classrooms provide opportunities for extended projects that promote collaboration, independence, and thoughtful problem-solving. By embracing challenges and learning from mistakes, all learners finish elementary school as confident, prepared students ready for the opportunities ahead.
