Grade 5

In Grade 5 at Freeman-Kennedy, students take on richer academic challenges that help them build independence and begin to prepare for middle school. Supportive classroom communities encourage students to analyze texts deeply, strengthen their writing across genres, and explore advanced math concepts such as fractions and decimals. Investigations and inquiries across subjects promote teamwork, planning, and reflection. This year helps all learners see themselves as capable thinkers who grow through effort and curiosity.
