Grade 3

In Grade 3 at Freeman-Kennedy, students transition into more complex academic work while strengthening the habits of perseverance, curiosity, and flexible thinking. In supportive classrooms, they move from “learning to read” to “reading to learn,” apply new math concepts such as multiplication and division, and explore scientific ideas through hands-on inquiry. Students learn to organize their work, explain their thinking, and approach challenges with a growth mindset. This year helps them become more confident, self-directed learners.
