History and Social Science (Grade 2)
In Second Grade, students expand their focus from local communities to a global perspective. They study geography by exploring why people settle in particular places, how they migrate, and how culture moves with them. Students also learn about economic systems by considering how people earn a living, exchange goods, and use resources. Throughout the year, they reflect on how people’s choices—about where to live, how to work, and what traditions to keep—shape both communities and the world.
