Professional Development
The Norfolk Public Schools are committed to providing a high-quality, rigorous educational experience for all students. In order to support our educators in implementing best practices, maintaining high-quality instruction and continued growth, we offer a wide range of professional development offerings. Workshops and courses are intended to support educators in enriching their content knowledge, instructional practices and understanding of child growth and development. We believe that learning is a lifelong process and that schools should nurture the intellectual and emotional growth of both students and staff members.

To conduct an equity audit and identify practices and policies that may be impeding equitable access and outcomes for all learners. To develop a plan of action to support the district in creating anti bias, inclusive school communities.

To revise and strengthen our MTSS protocols, NEST practices and streamline data meetings in order to better address student learning gaps.
