We are happy to announce the beginning of our annual reading incentive program, “Snuggle Up with a Good Book.”  This will begin on Monday, January 23, 2012 and will end on Friday, March 2nd.  The purpose of this program is to promote and nurture the love of reading in our H. Olive Day students.  As the children read, or are read to, at home, they will document the amount read on a recording sheet.  They will then receive tickets in school that will be entered into drawings for prizes.  Please help your child with this reading incentive and look for detailed instructions to come home on Thursday, January 19th.  The kickoff date is Monday, January 23rd when students will be asked to bring in a stuffed animal to “snuggle up with” as they read.
