We have some very exciting news at the H. Olive Day School! At their February meeting, the Community Preservation Commission approved using some of their funds to create a new playground and field at HOD. The use of these funds needs to be approved by Norfolk voters at the Town Meeting that will take place on Tuesday, May 7th at 7:00 p.m. at the King Philip Middle School. The children in grades K-2 have been working on RESPECT in music through our school wide learning of both our RESPECT rap as well as Red Grammar's Saying Hi. We have also been working on playing rhythmic ostinatos (repeated rhythmic patterns) on our glockenspiels and expanding our music repertoire in our choral rehearsals.
