Coins for Cures Kicked Off on March 1

On Thursday, March 1, 2012 Freeman-Centennial students and staff kicked off our community service learning project to help children in need. At a recent school assembly we discussed how and why we were participating in such a worthy cause. Students were excited and eager to begin saving one penny at a time. Cookies for Kids' Cancer - Community Service

Students in Mrs. Grout’s and Mrs. Tucceri’s fifth grade classes recently planned and hosted the third annual Cookies for Kids’ Cancer bake sale. With the support of their families, students donated ingredients to make over 1,500 cookies! The classes received so much support that they were able to donate extra cookies to the dedicated men and women who make up Norfolk’s police and fire.
